With aspirations to bring about simplicity to a complex e-cigarette market, Vapefy set out to build a brand focused on on the user experience. With a multitude of devices, types of e-liquids and so on, switching from a tobacco cigarette to an e-cigarette (or vape) can be a daunting task for new users.
Vapefy set out to create a business which aimed at simplifying the process of smoking cessation. They had asked us to design a website that looked clean, responsive and didn't have too much bloat, as can be founding on many of their competitors websites.
Our first goal was to gather information on the leading industry competitors. Firstly, this allowed us to gain an understanding of what is generally required for e-cigarette retailers. Secondly, this gave us an insight into what difficulties are present for the end user of the website when it comes to finding their desired products and purchasing.
We set out designing a Shopify based e-commerce website that focused on simplicity. Using a group of beta testers, we deployed an A/B testing method to narrow down what features were most used by the end-user for an optimal UX.
What we did:
- Created a bespoke and responsive website, with a minimalism focus.
- Integrated and configured the Shopiify platform.
- Integrated Mailchimp and various marketing tools.
- Created various modules to increase conversions such as a free shipping progress bar, bundles creator and a custom cart experience.
With the website project delivered, our team has moved on to providing ongoing SEO and Social Media Marketing to Vapefy. We look forward to helping them grow their business and gaining a spot amongst the top competitors.
